Nilaya — The Lightweight Performance Cruiser, Redefined

Commissioned for a repeat owner and delivered in June 2023, Nilaya is a 47-metre high-performance cruising sloop blending refined luxury with true racing pedigree. Designed by Reichel / Pugh with interiors by Nauta Design and built using Royal Huisman’s revolutionary Featherlight™ method, Nilaya is among the world’s lightest aluminium superyachts in her class—achieving an overall weight reduction of around 11 % compared to typical advanced aluminium yachts.

In line with the owner’s brief for a vessel that combines silence, comfort, and exhilarating performance, Nilaya embodies responsive handling and robust construction, offering both effortless cruising and the spirit of a racer.

Delivered with a bespoke Carbo-Link carbon rigging package, our system was meticulously engineered to complement Nilaya’s hybrid hull and lightweight architecture. The custom rigging helps reduce weight aloft, enhance mast stiffness, and enable precise load management—elevating her sailing performance and responsiveness while maintaining the comfort and safety expectations of world cruising.
