25+ YEARS INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE
From a single component to a complete rig package.
Spar packages
Masts · Booms · Spreaders · Bowsprits · Tender Poles
Carbon spars designed around your sail plan, sailing objectives and onboard systems. We develop the structural architecture, laminate and interfaces to meet agreed strength, stiffness, bend and weight targets.
From local reinforcements and fittings to the complete spar structure, design and production are considered together. Hardware, access, handling and maintenance requirements are incorporated into the project brief.
Carbon rigging
CL SOLID · CL ELLIPSE · CL TORQUE · CL HYBRID · CL FLEX
Carbon rigging engineered for the required stiffness, loads and installation geometry. Our continuously wound solid-carbon technology combines a consolidated cable structure with integrated end terminations.
Round, elliptical, torsional and hybrid solutions allow the specification to follow the application. We assess each cable and interface as part of the rig, whether supplying a complete package or working with an existing mast.
Carbon appendages
Rudders · Foils · Fins · Structural components
Carbon rigging engineered for the required stiffness, loads and installation geometry. Our continuously wound solid-carbon technology combines a consolidated cable structure with integrated end terminations.
Round, elliptical, torsional and hybrid solutions allow the specification to follow the application. We assess each cable and interface as part of the rig, whether supplying a complete package or working with an existing mast.
One rig.
Connected engineering.
The mast, boom, rigging and their interfaces work together under load. Designing them together gives us the opportunity to optimise the complete rig around the yacht’s requirements.
A coordinated engineering scope brings load assumptions, component stiffness, fittings and production interfaces into the same design process. Responsibilities, deliverables and acceptance criteria are agreed at the outset, with changes assessed for their effect on performance, cost and programme.
Performance yachts
Structural efficiency, controlled bend and stiffness, and attention to weight and aerodynamic form—developed around your sailing and campaign objectives.
Superyachts
Custom structures shaped by sailing performance, onboard integration, appearance, handling and long-term operation.
New build & refit
Early-stage engineering for new projects, or carefully defined upgrades around the geometry, interfaces and constraints of an existing yacht.
Selected Marine projects.
Experience across complete rigs, standing rigging and carbon appendages.
SY Zero
Integrated spars and rigging
Two carbon masts, two booms and a carbon rigging package for a demanding ketch project. A reference for bringing large-scale spar manufacturing and rigging engineering together.
Sea Eagle
CL SOLID standing rigging
A complete solid-carbon standing-rigging package, demonstrating Carbo-Link’s experience in custom superyacht rigging and highly loaded interfaces.
Leopard 3
Rudders and daggerboards
Two carbon rudders for the 100-foot maxi. A practical example of applying our composite structural expertise beyond the rig.
DESIGNED AND MADE IN EUROPE.
Engineering depth.
Manufacturing control.
Our engineering team combines global rig analysis, detailed finite-element analysis and 3D modelling to develop structures and resolve interfaces before manufacture.
Our mast manufacturing approach includes custom female tooling, one-piece autoclave co-curing and internal longitudinal stiffeners. This allows the shell, local reinforcement and internal structure to be developed as a connected structural solution. CNC machining supports accurate cut-outs and component interfaces.
Facilities in Switzerland and northern Germany connect engineering, materials processing, and production, including a 72-meter autoclave for large structures. AS9100D-certified processes support quality management. Product approvals and classification requirements are confirmed for the individual scope of supply.

INSPECTION · SERVICE · REFIT
Support beyond delivery.
Keep engineering knowledge connected to the yacht throughout its service life. We support planned inspections, maintenance reviews, replacement components and refit engineering for Carbo-Link spars and rigging.
The scope is tailored to the installation, service history and operating conditions. Where required, specialist non-destructive testing is coordinated with appropriately qualified providers. Findings and recommendations help owners and crews plan the next steps.
Share your yacht’s location, equipment details, service history and proposed refit dates so we can define the appropriate support.
A clear process, from brief to handover.
01 / Define
Agree on the brief
Establish sailing objectives, geometry, loads, interfaces, responsibilities, and program. Identify the information needed to develop a meaningful proposal.
02 / Engineer
Develop the solution
Review concepts and structural behavior, resolve interfaces, and agree on the design basis, validation approach, and production specification.
03 / Manufacture
Build and verify
Produce the components through controlled manufacturing processes, with inspection, testing and documentation defined for the project.
04 / Integrate
Prepare for operation
Coordinate delivery, installation interfaces and agreed commissioning support. Hand over the relevant documentation and maintenance requirements.
Your questions, answered.
-
Yes. Our scope can range from a single cable, boom or appendage to an integrated mast-and-rigging package. We agree the interfaces and responsibilities with your existing designers and suppliers.
-
Potentially, following an engineering review. Mast geometry, required stiffness, loads, spreader arrangements and termination interfaces must be assessed before we confirm suitability and scope.
-
Yes. We coordinate structural requirements and interfaces with the project team. For appendages, geometry and hydrodynamic requirements are developed with the naval architect or specialist designer; design responsibilities are agreed for each project.
-
We welcome discussions with builders seeking a repeatable spar or rigging solution. We start by reviewing the platform, expected volumes, permitted variations, interfaces and production schedule to define a suitable engineering and supply approach.
