From carbon rigging and complete mast systems to bridge cables, crane pendants, and aerospace structures, we develop components around the application - and the people who depend on them.

Founded in 2000 as a spin-off from EMPA, the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology, Carbo-Link builds on carbon fibre research dating back to 1978.
Demanding applications have shaped our development: standing rigging for sailing yachts, tension members for cranes, cables for bridges, and lightweight aerospace structures. The expansion into masts, booms, and appendages brings this experience to a broader range of marine components and integrated systems.
Our purpose is to improve structural efficiency through advanced composites, thoughtful engineering, and controlled manufacturing.

Our facilities in Switzerland and Germany connect materials development, engineering and production, with capabilities suited to components of different scales and complexity.

Headquarters, engineering & production
Our Swiss headquarters brings together engineering, materials development, quality management and project teams alongside composite manufacturing, machining and testing. In-house prepreg processing, autoclave capability and precision equipment support development from material selection to finished component.
Bremen, Germany
Large-scale composite manufacturing
Our German facility expands the scale of structures we can produce. A 72-metre autoclave, composite production space and CNC machining support the manufacture of large masts, booms, spars and other structural components.
Quality built into the process.
Quality management connects material selection and preparation, design, manufacture, inspection and documentation.
Our AS9100D-certified quality-management system provides the framework for controlled processes, traceability, and continuous improvement. We define inspection, testing, product approvals, and any classification requirements for each relevant product and project. All carbon rigging is DNV Type Approved.
