Project Zero — Pioneering Fossil-Free Superyachting
Project Zero is a 68.85‑metre performance ketch under construction at Vitters Shipyard in the Netherlands. Designed by Vripack with naval architecture by Dykstra Naval Architects, the yacht aims to be the world’s first superyacht to operate entirely without fossil fuels.
A central element of Project Zero’s innovative design is her complete Carbo‑Link carbon rig, including mast, spars, and rigging. Engineered and manufactured entirely in our aerospace-certified facility, the rig is tailored to meet the yacht’s exacting performance and sustainability goals. Using advanced carbon technology, the system maximizes stiffness, minimizes weight aloft, and ensures precision load management, enabling Project Zero to harness renewable energy efficiently while maintaining exceptional sailing performance.
Carbo‑Link’s integrated rig solution is a cornerstone of the yacht’s vision for fossil-free operation, supporting her solar, wind, and thermal energy systems. This collaboration highlights how advanced materials and engineering expertise can enable truly sustainable, high-performance superyachting.
